Career Background

Born in Nigeria, Max Iheanachor immigrated to the United States at age 13 and did not play organized football until junior college. He attended East Los Angeles College (JUCO) for two years (2021–2022) before transferring to Arizona State as a three/four-star prospect. He quickly earned playing time and started five of six games in 2023 while allowing zero sacks. In 2024–2025 he became a full-time starter at right tackle, logging over 1,750 snaps across his final two seasons with the Sun Devils.

In 2025 he started all 14 games, earned Second-Team All-Big 12 honors, and helped Arizona State reach the College Football Playoff while paving the way for standout running back Cam Skattebo. He participated in the 2026 Senior Bowl and declared for the NFL Draft.

Iheanachor has a clean off-field record with no arrests or known issues. Coaches and scouts praise his rapid development, work ethic, toughness, and high character. He played soccer and basketball growing up, bringing multi-sport athleticism and competitiveness. Scouting Report Summary

Iheanachor is a massive, long, and surprisingly athletic right tackle who only began playing football a few years ago. He wins with length, quick feet, and natural power, showing flashes of dominance in both run and pass games. His rapid development and traits make him one of the more intriguing upside prospects in the class.

Strengths

• Excellent size, length, and athleticism for the position — moves well laterally and tests elite for his frame.

• Strong anchor and heavy hands in pass protection; allowed zero sacks in 2025 on high volume.

• Powerful run blocker who can displace defenders and finish blocks with violence.

• High ceiling with continued growth potential; multi-sport background aids coordination.

Weaknesses

• Still relatively raw due to limited football experience; technique can be inconsistent.

• Average hand size and occasional leverage issues when high-hipped.

• Run blocking grade lags behind pass protection; needs refinement in sustaining blocks and angles.

Final Evaluation

Ideal for schemes that value length, athleticism, and power at right tackle (zone or gap concepts). Iheanachor has legitimate starter upside with a high ceiling due to his physical tools and rapid improvement. While raw in some areas, his zero-sack season, size, and testing make him a strong developmental prospect with Pro Bowl potential. He projects as a Day 2 selection (late 1st to early 2nd round) and could rise with a strong Senior Bowl/Combine performance.
