Career Background

Kadyn Proctor was a five-star recruit and the highest-rated offensive tackle in the 2023 class out of Southeast Polk High School in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. He enrolled at Alabama and started every game as a true freshman at left tackle in 2023, a trial-by-fire experience against SEC competition. After Nick Saban’s retirement, Proctor briefly transferred to Iowa in early 2024 before returning to Alabama, where he has started every game since. In 2025, as a junior, he anchored the Crimson Tide’s offensive line, earning consensus All-American honors and helping Alabama compete at a high level.

Proctor has a clean off-field record with no arrests or known issues. He is described as a high-character, hard-working player with a strong work ethic. Coaches have praised his toughness, leadership, and ability to overcome early challenges. A multi-sport athlete in high school (basketball, track & field shot put), he brings athleticism and competitiveness to the position. He has participated in team community service and is viewed positively in the Alabama program.

Scouting Report Summary

Proctor is a massive, powerful left tackle with rare size and surprising movement skills for his frame. He plays with heavy hands, strong anchor, and the ability to dominate in the run game while holding up well in pass protection. His best traits shine in power/gap schemes where he can displace defenders.

Strengths

• Elite size and play strength — overwhelms defenders with power and torque.

• Good athleticism for his massive build; moves well laterally and tests impressively.

• High floor as a three-year starter with proven durability and consistency.

• Violent finisher with strong hands and competitive toughness.

Weaknesses

• Average arm length for a tackle can be exploited by elite speed rushers.

• Can struggle with leverage and body control at times due to his enormous frame.

• Still refining technique against advanced counters and maintaining consistent pad level.

Final Evaluation

Ideal for gap/power or pro-style schemes that leverage his overwhelming size and strength. Proctor has legitimate Day-1 starter potential at left tackle or potentially guard. His combination of rare mass, athletic testing, and starting experience gives him a high floor with All-Pro upside if he continues refining technique and adding functional mobility. As one of the most physically imposing offensive line prospects in the 2026 class, he projects as a strong first-round candidate, likely in the mid-to-late first round.
