2026 NFL Scouting Report: Justin Joly, Jack Endries, Dallen Bentley


Justin Joly (North Carolina State)

Justin Joly, a 6’4”, 241-pound tight end from New Rochelle, NY, began his career at UConn (2021-2023) before transferring to NC State, where he broke out as a senior. He was a 3-star recruit from Iona Prep High School and developed into a key receiving threat.


Key Stats (2025): 47 rec / 468 yds / 7 TDs; Career Totals: 92 rec / 1,150 yds / 11 TDs.


Strengths

Strong hands (1 drop on 67 targets), high contested-catch rate, YAC creator (missed tackles forced high), versatile inline/slot usage, reliable red-zone target.


Weaknesses

Limited deep production (avg 10.0 yds/rec), blocking needs refinement, average athleticism for position, inconsistent against man coverage, injury history in early career.


Draft Projection

Early to Mid Day 3 (4th-5th round); solid rotational TE with starter upside in pass-heavy schemes.


Dallen Bentley (Utah)

Dallen Bentley, a 6’4”, 253 pound tight end from Taylorsville, UT, started at Snow College (JUCO) before joining Utah, where he became a starter in 2025. He was a 3-star JUCO recruit and developed into a reliable receiving TE.


Key Stats (2025): 48 rec / 620 yds / 6 TDs; Career Totals: 51 rec / 640 yds / 6 TDs.


Strengths

High catch rate (69.1%), strong YAC (4.5 per rec), effective red-zone threat (6 TDs), good hands (low drop rate), versatile inline/slot blocker.


Weaknesses

Limited deep threat (avg 12.9 yds/rec), blocking grade below average (54.6 PFF), average athleticism, injury-limited early career, production inconsistent vs top defenses.


Draft Projection

Early to mid Day 3 (4th-5th round); developmental inline TE with receiving upside in run-first offenses.


Jack Endries (Texas)

Jack Endries, a 6’5”, 245-pound tight end from Danville, CA, started as a walk-on at Cal (2022-2024) before transferring to Texas, where he emerged as a starter in 2025. He was unranked out of high school.


Key Stats (2025): 33 rec / 346 yds / 3 TDs; Career Totals: 124 rec / 1,377 yds / 7 TDs.


Strengths

Strong contested-catch rate (9/12 in 2024), low drop rate (1 in 2024), good route-running, effective blocker in space (66.6 PFF grade), reliable chain-mover.


Weaknesses

Limited deep production (avg 10.5 yds/rec), average speed/burst, YAC not elite, injury history (limited early at Cal), slot usage heavy but boundary struggles.


Draft Projection:

Early to Mid Day 3 (4th-5th round); rotational move TE with starter potential in spread systems.
